Implementing CSR
To put our CSR policies into practice, we have implemented group-wide management structures and teams. Our dedicated department ensures CSR issues are included across our operational projects and in line with our sustainable development action plan.
Each Business Unit also has a dedicated person who implements the plan in their department and meets regularly with colleagues across the group to address issues and share best practice.
Sustainable development has also been integrated within our cross-disciplinary networks in areas such as the environment, transport, water, smart mobility, climate change adaptation, energy and more.
Managing risk.
As a fast-growing global organisation, good governance and risk management helps us achieve our objectives and protect our people, partners and clients.
We map risks across the entire group and manage them as part of our performance management system.
Environmental action.
At Egis, protecting the environment is a central component of our CSR strategy. Our environmental action plan addresses sustainability from all sides:
- Direct impacts, both positive and negative, of our internal operations
- Indirect impacts, both positive and negative, of services and projects
Responsible employment.
We constantly balance our focus on economic growth with the career development of our employees. Listening to people’s needs, continuing a rigorous and constructive social dialogue, are the key elements of this approach.
We act as a responsible employer by:
- Favouring sustainable employment. In the last few years, more than 95% of employees in France have been on permanent contracts.
- Promoting our employees' professional development
- Renewing our anti-discrimination policy
Health & safety.
Ensuring the health and safety of employees is another major issue, especially as we are a global company. We have been rolling out our Safety Attitude initiative for several years, which not only applies to employees working in offices but also to those who travel as part of their work, or those who are affected by our projects.
Responsible purchasing.
In 2019, we created a Procurement Department.
We already include CSR clauses in many supplier and subcontractor contracts, in particular in our building operation contracts, IT services, consultancy services, and in contractual relations with our vehicle suppliers. Our ambition is to further extend CSR criteria in all our purchases.
You will soon find in this section our responsible purchasing charter, 2022 edition, which will specify all our conditions.
